Help BARC
There are several ways in which you can help us in our efforts to care for the animals with us.
- Support our fundraising events (click on the button at left for details).
- Volunteers: volunteers run BARC. Each day at least 10 people help to clean, feed and walk (dogs only) our animals. In addition we need volunteers to help maintain our existing buildings. Contact the administrator if you would like to help.
- Friends of BARC The Friends of BARC Committee are responsible for organising all fundraising events. Anyone can become a Friend of BARC for a small subscription each year. If you wish to become a Friend of BARC please complete this form. If you feel you would like to serve on our Committee please contact the Administrator for information.
- Donations: however small your donation, it all helps! For example:
50c helps towards a day’s food for a cat or dog;
£5 helps buy some pet toys and a feeding bowl;
£10 helps to buy some bedding;
£15 helps with vet’s bills;
£20 helps to provide flea prevention treatment for one dog or cat for one year.

- Merchandise: A variety of pet goods is offered for sale at the BARC office and at a variety of military events throughout the year. We are introducing a new range of products and are moving away from the run-of-the-mill T-shirts. We have in stock sun visors, caps, key rings with bottle openers attached (essential item!), pencils, mugs and a few other surprises, so pop in and see us. Remember to look out for a BARC stall at all major events in the WSBA.
